Adaptive Body Bias (ABB)
Description
Dolphin’s Adaptive Body Bias (ABB) IP is a solution to optimize power and performance with in-the-field process, voltage, temperature and aging compensation. By dynamically adjusting the bias voltage applied to the body (or substrate) of a transistor, ABB allows chips to either increase performance when needed or reduce power consumption during less demanding tasks. This approach enhances efficiency, particularly in low-power and high-performance applications, making it ideal for advanced electronic devices.
The Adaptive Body Bias (ABB) IP enables in-the-field process, voltage, temperature and aging compensation by leveraging the FDSOI body-biasing capability.
ABB is a low-power, standalone, autonomous IP including the sensors, the body-bias generator and the control loop.
