The Power-On-Reset (POR) is a supply voltage monitor that generates a said “POR” digital signal when, at supply start-up, the monitored voltage has reached a stable value above a predefined threshold. The POR signal is automatically latched.
The Brown-Out Reset (BOR) is a supply voltage monitor that, once the “POR” signal is asserted, generates an alarm digital signal when the monitored voltage drops below a predefined threshold.
Dolphin’s low-power POR-BOR implementation comes complete with an embedded voltage reference, individually programmable POR-BOR thresholds and a burst operation mode.
